Cheryl Johnson serves as Secretary of the Board for the PVJ Literacy Foundation, bringing more than 25 years of professional experience spanning both the financial services industry and public education. Her unique combination of corporate expertise and educational leadership provides valuable insight as the Foundation works to advance literacy, educational opportunity, and student success.
Prior to entering education, Cheryl spent more than 15 years in investment banking operations, where she developed extensive experience in strategic planning, operational management, process improvement, and financial analysis.
Driven by a passion for serving students and making a direct impact within her community, Cheryl transitioned into public education, where she has dedicated the past decade to supporting academic achievement and student development. Her educational career includes six years as an elementary classroom teacher, as well as leadership roles focused on curriculum development, instructional planning, and educational program design. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to helping students build the skills and confidence necessary for lifelong success.
