Learn How We Are Building Brighter Futures

READING PROGRAMS

Fall & Winter 2026–2027 Initiative

Fall Neighborhood Library Refresh
This fall, PVJ Literacy Foundation will bring new books to Little Libraries throughout our community by donating dozens of books for young readers and their families to discover, enjoy, and share. By replenishing these neighborhood reading spaces, we’re making more books accessible and putting literacy resources directly into the hands of the communities we serve.

Winter Read-a-Thon
Winter break is an opportunity to keep students engaged with reading and sharp. Through a seasonal reading incentive, PVJ Literacy Foundation will encourage elementary students to read throughout the break by recognizing their reading accomplishments with prizes and a special holiday gift.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Creating Opportunities Through Literacy

We’re proud to launch our first-ever Books & Resources Scholarship, awarding five scholarships to graduating seniors in the Class of 2027. This initiative recognizes students for their hard work and dedication while providing support toward essential educational expenses, including textbooks, laptops, and other resources as they take their next steps toward higher education and their future careers.

The Books & Resources Scholarship is part of PVJ Literacy Foundation’s growing commitment to creating educational opportunities through reading programs, mentorship, community initiatives, and scholarships.

Check back in January to learn more about the 2027 scholarship opportunity and how to apply.

MENTORSHIPS

From College Access to College Success

Our commitment doesn’t end when a student receives a scholarship. Through mentorship, we connect students with caring mentors who help them navigate the transition from high school to college, adjust to campus life, and build the habits, confidence, and support systems needed to thrive academically from day one.
