Texas Back-to-School Drive
In celebration of our inaugural Back-to-School Drive, PVJ Literacy Foundation partnered with community organizations and local businesses across Texas, in the very neighborhoods where our team grew up, to support students and families as the 2026–27 school year approached.
Through these community partnerships, we connected with students, parents, and families while providing backpacks and essential school supplies to help students start the year prepared for success.
Acres Home Civic Club 576
On August 1, in partnership with the Acres Homes Civic Club 576, PVJ Literacy Foundation provided 30 fully stocked backpacks and essential school supplies to high school students across Houston. The event brought together students, families, and community leaders, turning a shared upbringing into a shared investment in the next generation.
On August 8, in partnership with the Stream 44 Bencheri Educational Center, PVJ Literacy Foundation supported the Center’s annual Community Back-to-School Celebration by providing school supplies to local students and families, helping ensure every student began the school year equipped with the resources they need to succeed.
Bencheri Educational Center
On August 8, PVJ Literacy Foundation partnered with Big Mike’s Barbershop, a founding donor, and Tyson Stovall, DFW realtor and barbershop co-owner, to provide 20 backpacks and essential school supplies to local students. The event paired fresh haircuts with essential back-to-school supplies and allowed us to connect directly with students, parents, and families in the Dallas community.
